David, although born in Chicago, was raised in Austin, TX and, like most children in the South, grew up in the church. It wasn’t until he was 16 years old, however, did he make the independent decision to follow Christ. It was at his church youth revival that he was saved under his youth pastor Rodney D. Walker. From this moment on David was zealous about following God and disciping others. Soon after getting saved he learned diligently as much as he could about his responsibility as a follower of Christ and also eventually started a bible study at his high school. His desire to minister to others about God throughout his walk over the years has most recently lead to the founding of Truth or Culture.
David is a Texan Southern University alumnus with a Bachelor of Art in Media Studies. When he is not spreading the Gospel of Christ he is working in video production, along with his brother. He has also been the recipient of the Best Documentary of the Year award at the HBCU Film Festival (2006) for his film production covering survivors of Hurricane Katrina.
